Oh, and I liked replacing Hermione's slap with a punch. (I didn't like how she brought out a wand first, but still, the punch was a good payoff. better than just a firm slap. :P )

I was annoyed at first that they changed it, but I see why ... a punch is tougher than an open-handed slap.

She tried to get her wand out after she slapped Malfoy in the book, but Ron grabbed her arm and then Malfoy slunk off.

Malfoy snivelled too much, I think. It was funny, and understandable, but I always imagined him looking too shocked and petrified to even snivel when she hit him - or if she had her wand at his throat.

That's a good point...
He's very snivelly, but the shockingness should have been emphasized.
I think the switching of the wand/hand order allows for less shock and more snivel, which fits in the continual portrayal of Malfoy as totally snivelly and wussy when not behind Crabbe and Goyle's muscle.
All in all, not bad. It was an artistic choice of snivel over shock and it worked.
