you mean the 99 cent fee, or there's a new fee in addition to the 15% commission + 99 cent fee?

I thought the 99 fee used to not exist.
It couldn't of! There are still books up for sale for 45 cents and such. That's paying amazon to sell your book. I think that that fee used to not exist.

you can pay $40 a month and not have the 99cent fee. then you only have to have a 15% fee.
i have been selling for 2 years and have always had the 99 cent fee.

that sucks. :( but, see, if you report the amount you made on your taxes, you can take out the fee as a business deduction & get it back as a refund.

I don't make jack on selling books.
stupid amazon makes me sell too cheap. :*(
I still like amazon, but I think I'm about done with marketplace. I like it, but prices are way too low. and I don't think my remaining books are ever moving.

also, my yard sale will not charge a closing fee or a commission. just bring stuff you want to sell, and there will likely be pizza afterwards.

does amazon do that for you?

That's a pretty sweet offer.
I will have to sell my unwanted books for a mere dollar though.
I have one that nobody wants that I bought originally for over $30. :(

who knows. you never know what will happen at a yard sale. maybe someone who knows what they're worth will offer more. you can try selling them for $3 or $4 etc. and bargain with people. you can't do that on amazon. i love amazon, but i love my yard sale, too. i want to be watching movies but i am taking stuff downstairs instead. tomorrow i am xeroxing & putting up flyers with clever slogans.

if it rains saturday i will cry and scream.

working from my job experience

"The amount mentioned in the original comment was just a suggestion! You can tailor your ask amount to anything you think you can get for the books."
